Over-water bungalows — Binh Lap bay, Khanh Hoa
A beach bungalow resort designed to take in light and sea breeze, built mainly in timber — thatched roofs, timber doors and railings — with ceramic tile floors that lift the finish and keep the guest close to the setting.
The site is a sheltered bay at Binh Lap: sand, large granite boulders scattered down to the waterline, a stream running off the mountain, and low forest across the slope. The site photographs below are what drove the masterplan — the buildings follow the existing lines of rock and water rather than levelling the ground.
The set covers the masterplan, guest unit plans, a hillside villa, terrain sections and visuals.
